1.Describe your least liked music. Please explain the reason.
Well, I believe all types of music are enjoyable, however, I would mention Hip Pop to be the lowest of my ranking. For me, a graceful piece of music should contain either the beautiful lyrics or the sounding rhythms. But the first time I listened to Hip Pop in a mini concert, I felt like being abandoned on a noisy island. I barely heard anything clear but dozens of words floating in the air. I could not concentrate on the lyrics to understand the songwriter’s thoughts, not to mention having any responsive chord deep in my heart. Though Hip Pop has kind of magic power to make everyone move, it is still hard to touch me in most of the cases.
2.Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Technology devices distance people far more now than before.
I do agree with the statement that technology devices distance people. In the past, there were not so many ways for people to communicate with each other. The most commonly adopted way would be face to face communication. In recent years, new approaches of communication have been introduced, such as texting, calling as well as video chat. People are reluctant to talk with their friends and family in person. All the messages could be delivered instantly just by using their fingers. Spring festival is no longer a time when every family member gets together to spend some quality time. Instead, everybody keeps looking at their mobile phones. The relationship in a family is getting more and more indifferent. In addition, some young people are addicted to computer games so that they prefer to stay at home all the time.
3.A friend of yours always gets up late in the morning and misses his morning classes. The professor has told him that this behavior will affect his grade. What advice would you give him and why? Please include details and examples in your explanation.
Well, the advice I would give to my friend is trying his best to change his lifestyle so that he could attend every morning class. He could do some sports in the afternoon, which is beneficial to his health. If it’s hard for him to fall asleep at night, it will be helpful for him to listen to some soft music. If he keeps skipping classes, it is quite possible for him to fail it. It is a waste of time spending the entire morning in bed. We spend much money for our education. It also squanders our parents’ money. However, as a student, our task is to study well. Without great academic performance, it will be extremely difficult to find a decent job in the future.
